Interestingly, DynaList has been created by the same Indie Hackers behind Obsidian. You can also "zoom" into a bullet point as if it was a document, and then you only see what's inside, meaning that you can actually store A TON of information.

I love using it as a tool to think, reflect and explore ideas. You can also edit multiple documents at once, which is super useful. Obsidian has very good support for linking ideas, tagging and searching. You can publish your content to create a so-called "Digital Garden" basically exporting your notes as a static Website you can host anywhere.

I’ve often wondered why Stickies (and TextEdit) has not changed since (seemingly) the first iteration of Mac OSX.I'm a huge fan of Notion, and I take most of my notes there so that my notes can "live" in the same app that I also do the rest of my work - including scheduling tasks, tracking progress, managing my CRM, and more. Also useful for the Paste & Match Style option to strip formatted text. Probably the best use for me is to use it as a “poor man’s” Multiple Clipboard assistant, as it can place text and images etc. However, when deciding to use Stickies, I ask myself … do I need this searchable on all devices? If the answer is “yes”, I will then use the Notes.app instead.

This can be a plus or a minus, depending on your requirements. There is a search option in Stickies … ⌘ + F (with extra keyboard shortcuts for find next etc) and one can search just one individual Note or All Notes.Īlso, if you have more than one computer (and/or iOS device/s) then Stickies does not propagate across the other devices (via iCloud etc). So therefore a Spotlight search won’t reveal text that is in Stickies. What I have found is that Stickies does not index information in Spotlight. I use Stickies, Notes, Reminders, and Calendar and each has its different purpose.
